Freight Forwarder and Customs Brokerage

Freight forwarding is a term commonly used in the industry which refers to a process of bringing goods from point A to point B.

The freight forwarder on your instructions facilitates the collection of the goods from your overseas supplier,  has the goods customs cleared overseas,  has the goods loaded onto the aircraft or vessel and then has the goods unpacked or unloaded in Australia.

Whilst this is all occurring,  the goods are in most cases pre- cleared through the Australian Customs Service and Australian Quarantine in preparation of delivering the goods to you by our transport provider or via your nominated transport provider.

Even if you or your supplier utilises the services of another freight forwarder, you are always more than welcome to ask us to customs clear your airfreight, sea freight LCL or sea freight FCL cargo through Platinum Freight Management.
